Scott Goodstein is the founder and CEO of Revolution Messaging, which is leading the digital efforts for Bernie Sanders’ 2016 Presidential campaign. He has spent the past decade pioneering digital strategy and technology for political campaigns and progressive causes across the United States. Scott previously served as the External Online Director for Obama for America during the 2008 presidential race, developing social networking and mobile platforms for what was arguably the biggest, most effective grassroots organizing campaign of modern times and a watershed moment for the use of digital technology in politics. Goodstein has worked with the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, SEIU, and the NAACP, among other organizations. He has also presented at a variety of distinguished American institutions, including Columbia, American University, the Brookings Institute, the Milken Institute and Personal Democracy Forum.
Teddy Goff currently serves as Chief Tech and Digital Strategist for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential Campaign. He was also the director of digital strategy for President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, leading the 250-person nationwide team responsible for the campaign’s social media, email, web, online advertising, online organizing, front-end and product development, design, and video presences. TIME described his work as “redefining the limits of viral politics.” Teddy is also co-founder and partner at Precision, where he leads the digital practice. Teddy’s team develops strategies and runs programs for major corporations, innovative startups, leading nonprofits, and progressive campaigns. Under Teddy’s leadership, Obama for America raised more than $690 million and registered more than a million voters online. built Facebook and Twitter followings of more than 45 and 33 million people respectively, earned more than 133 million video views, and ran more than $100 million in online advertising (the largest such program in political history). As a member of the campaign’s leadership, he also played a seminal role in shaping and executing the broader campaign’s strategy for communications, fundraising, and organizing. Teddy lives in Manhattan and is a graduate of Yale University.
Tom Pitfield served as the Chief Digital Strategist for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s successful 2015 federal election campaign, as well as his campaign for leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada. Previously, Tom served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Leader of the Government in the Senate, the Honourable Jack Austin. He also worked in China for the Canada Chinese Business Council and as a business strategy consultant, specializing in Corporate Governance, for IBM Canada. After co-founding IBM’s Toronto Innovation Center, he worked as Policy Advisor to the Director of IBM’s Business Partner Channel. Tom holds an honours degree in business from Queen’s University and a Masters Degree with Merit in Political Philosophy from the London School of Economics. In 2016, Tom began serving as President of Canada 2020, Canada’s leading, independent, progressive think-tank. He and Anna Gainey are the proud parents of three children.
