Social Policy for the North

Moved by Liberal Party of Canada (Yukon)

WHEREAS the north faces substantial challenges in many areas of society: mental health; early childhood development; reductions in programming for youth; affordability of living for many in society, including seniors and many families; effects of residential schools on Aboriginal families;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Liberal Party of Canada will work to ensure social programs designed for youth, people with disabilities that have been eliminated or reduced during the previous government need to be reviewed and reinstated in partnership with Yukon in order to established funding priorities with community inputs.
